Are schools categorized or just individual records used to determine who to look at and where to pay an actual visit? Where are specific tournaments commonly attended beyond the top 5 events? Any thoughts on the ongoing debate regarding public vs non-public schools and the strength of their schedules in regards to recruiting for college competition? Thanks for reading and appreciate all you do for the sport from an Hawkeye Grad. The USA National WRestling Team will compete again the Russian team (currently ranked #1 in the world) and members of the Chinese and Canadian wrestling teams in the first Chicago Cup match.

The Chicago Cup will take place at Northwestern University's Welsh-Ryan Arena on February 6 at 7pm. This is a great way to see Olympic level wrestling competition at an unbeatable price---it's free!

While tickets are free, all attendees need to have a ticket reserved in advance to enter the arena. To reserve tickets, call 866/860-3234 or email chicagocuptickets@jtpr.com.

Sounds like fun to me. I read that starting at 5pm that night, they will also have wrestling instruction and autograph sessions with some of the athletes!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13009903.post-1163915748686402202006-11-18T21:55:00.000-08:002006-11-18T21:55:00.000-08:00Coach - Thanks for the blog. The sport of wrestling is building back strong at all age levels. We have seen a slight increase of interest in collegiate wrestling and an even more increase at the youth level.

There has been talk that students at University of Kentucky plan to start a club team this year on our state's wrestling forum.Mathoundhttp://www.kentuckywrestling.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13009903.post-1159847975637123562006-10-02T20:59:00.000-07:002006-10-02T20:59:00.000-07:00thanks for the notes, i get motivated just reading...thanks for the notes, i get motivated just reading that.charles keysnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13009903.post-1149183954620450752006-06-01T10:45:00.000-07:002006-06-01T10:45:00.000-07:00Dan, love your blog, especially the personal stuff...Dan, love your blog, especially the personal stuff.
