What I think Dan was stating, was that in order for a person to be successful, you must learn from past experiences but be concious of what is occuring at the moment. Soon what happens in the moment will become past, and in order for that event to become pressident, the actions of the moment must be successful, with the infuence of past experiences. Then again, such a vague quote also leaves each person who reads it to interepret the subject matter as they see fit.

After reflecting on the "Learn from the past, Improve the Future" I am torn from choosing a direct stance on the issue. Yes we need to learn from the past so we can improve the future. That is akey ingrediant in success. The question I pose to Coach Gable is if we all do this, aren't we only being reactive to our sport? Now I don't have Coach gable's experience, but I would guess that when we are proactive, or innovative, we take things to a new, higher level. I think this area can be an imperatrive element for our sport to continue to grow, develop and have success.
